

Willie Bradberry worked as an engineer for Indianapolis Public Schools for 40 years. He went on to further his education at Ivy Tech to which he received an associate degree in the area of maintenance and engineering with focus on heating and cooling systems (HVAC). Willie retired from Indianapolis Public schools at the age of 74. He was a veteran of the Korean War and served in the Army as a Drill Sargent and was awarded honors at discharge. He was a member of the Meridian Masonic Lodge for his formative years.
Willie Bradberry went on to glory on Wednesday the 26th of July in peace within his home. Willie was a man who had love and compassion for people and never met a stranger. He was a dedicated man to his family and a loving father to his children and extended family members. Willie Bradberry was an innovative thinker and an ambitious man who was willing to assist others throughout their life journey. He was a “Jack of all trade” and diligently pursued a variety of missions and adventures throughout his life while assisting individuals he met on his path.
Willie Bradberry is preceded in death by his sisters, Jessie M Nolen and Susan Bradberry and also his brothers Johnny Bradberry and Henry Bradberry and his son, Kenneth Weaver.
Willie Lee Bradberry is survived by his wife, Lucy A Thomas Bradberry; children Terry Bradberry, Willie Lee Bradberry Jr. (Tony), Keith Weaver, Glenda Thomas, Cordella Grimes, Nicol Bradberry, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, great-nieces, nephews, and great-nephews.
A visitation for Willie will be held Friday, August 4, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Crown Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery, 700 W. 38th St., Indianapolis, Indiana 46208, followed by a celebration of life at 12:00 PM.
