Edith Temples Brown, 74, passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2008. Mrs. Brown was a native of Gordon, Alabama and had lived most of her life in Jacksonville. Edith was a devoted wife, mother and loving grandmother. Survivors include her husband of 56 years, David J. “Buster” Brown; one daughter, Denise Greene; one son, David Earl Brown (Teresa); one brother, Arthur T. “Terry” Temples (Jean); six grandchildren, Matt, Jon and Jeremy Brown, Amanda, Randy (Debra) and Lindsey Greene; and two great-grandchildren, Wesley Snyder and Alexandra Brown. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, May 8 at North Prong Cemetery in Baker County, with Rev. Willard Mercer officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday (TODAY) at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 1426 Rowe Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida, 4114 Sunbeam Road, Suite #101, Jacksonville, Florida 32257.
