Evelyn Spence Hore

Evelyn "Lynne" Hore, 94, died peacefully on March 29, 2018 at Community Hospice, St Vincent's Hospital Riverside after a brief illness. Born in Dundee, Scotland to David & Margaret Spence, she married George Donald Hore Jr of Jacksonville on August 21, 1947. They met when he was recovering in England from wounds received in Aachen, Germany during WWII. Lynne was a Lifetime Member of the Garden Club of Jacksonville, Garden Center Circle and a member of St. Catherine's Episcopal Church. She will be greatly missed by daughters Christina Collins of Jacksonville, Deborah Fort of Houston and grandchildren Vanessa, David and Susan. Visitation will be held on April 02, 2018, from 12pm-1pm, at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 729 Edgewood Ave S with a graveside service to follow at 2pm, Jacksonville Memory Gardens, Orange Park.
