Joan Cook was born to the late Wilbur and LaVera Salfelder in Staten Island, New York on June 15,1941. She lived in Jonesboro Georgia for more than 30 years. Joan went to her eternal home on Wednesday July 25, 2012. Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Devon Griffin; brothers, Gary Salfelder and Ronnie Salfelder of West Palm Beach Florida; one grandson Christopher Spalding. She was loved by many friends, and will truly be missed by all who knew her. Joan was employed at Truckstops of America for more than 20 years. There will be a Memorial Service honoring the life of Joan Cook Friday July 27, 2012 at 1:00pm in the funeral home of Tara Garden Chapel, 681 North Avenue, Jonesboro, GA 30236 who is in charge of the arrangements.
