Mark is survived by his wife, Mary, two children: Anna Post (James) and A.J. Beaulieu. He also leaves behind two grandchildren, Caleb Sharkey and Cara Sharkey.
Mark is a U.S. Navy Veteran whose long career included service in the Vietnam War. He was born on July 17, 1952 and grew up in La Crescenta, California, with his two sisters, Linda, and Reinee. He was the youngest child of Armand Beaulieu and Lou Fay Card. Mark had a keen interest in mechanics and pursued this passion as a Machinist Mate, later earning his Mechanical Engineering Degree. He achieved his lifelong dream of serving on a Battleship when he was stationed on the USS New Jersey, BB-62. Mark retired after 22 years of service in the Navy and went on to have a successful career in the Power Industry. Mark earned his Masters Degree in Sustainable Energy, at the age of 60.
Mark loved to travel. He and Mary were able to go on the trip of a lifetime, last June, to Spain and Italy. He enjoyed fishing, shooting and wood working. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was a great story-teller. Most of all, he loved spending time with family and watching his grandchildren grow up.
The discipline and patriotism he learned in the Navy never left him.
Services will be held for Mark at 1pm on July 9, 2020 at St. Edith Stein Catholic Church in Katy, TX. His ashes will be interred in Willamette National Cemetary in Portland, OR at a later date.
