Alfred Ball, age 83 of Kingsport, entered into the glories of Heaven on Sunday, May 26, 2019. Alfred was born on December 28, 1935 in Wise County, VA to Willard and Mollie Ball. Alfred married the love of his life, Barbara Vermillion, and after 62 years of a beautiful life together, she preceded him in death in 2015.
Alfred was a loving husband, daddy, papaw and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Alfred was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Barbara; and two brothers, Fred Ball and Reuben Ball.
Left to cherish Alfred’s memory are his four children, Johnny Ball (Laura), Vicki Hensley (Dan), Ted Ball (Marcella), and Robin Bledsoe; brother, Hubert Ball; and many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at East Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral services for Alfred will follow the visitation beginning at 2:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Tim Nelson officiating.
Interment services will be held on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at 3:00 pm in the Garden of Peace II at East Lawn Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers will be Johnny Ball, Joe Ball, Chris Ball, Julie Leslie, Autumn Martin, Kim McClain, Eleni Hensley, Heather Moody and Ashley Moody.
