Jonathon Kenneth Hansford passed away unexpectedly on January 1, 2021.
Jonathon leaves a legacy of love and charisma with his family and all that knew him. He was a beloved husband, father, and son, sibling former Army Green Beret. We were all so grateful to have had Jonathon and know his sweet smiling face, the fearless, best friend, encourager, mentor that he was!
Jonathon was born in Maryville, TN on February 28, 1986. After high school, he followed his father’s footsteps of a military career. Joining the army in 2006, he soared in achievements and success with the Army. Honor graduating with Ranger tab, SERE school, and Special Forces tab, Green Beret. Serving multiple deployments with the 82nd Airborne Division. Along with Special Forces Group ODA 7124. Jonathan was proud of his military career, as he should be; he was a true soldier willing to lay his life down for our country.
Jonathon was always the light of the room! A smile that could charm all, charisma for days, and the biggest heart of anyone I have ever met.
Johnathon is survived by his loving, dedicated wife Emiley Christine Hansford of Johnson City, TN. A wonderful son, Tyler Caden Hansford of Maryville, TN. Cherished parents, Keith Robin Hansford, retired Marine, Becky Lowe Hansford of Townsend, TN. Precious sisters, Whitney Yvette Givens and her husband Nick Givens of Maryville, TN, Mercedes Rea Hansford of Townsend, TN. Along with Michelle Hansford Shilling and Robin Jones. Brothers, Christopher Robin Hansford and his wife Tiffany Lynn Hansford of Townsend, TN, Hayden Jay Hansford of Townsend, TN. Special friends Marcus Cole Taylor and his wife Madison Taylor of Maryville, TN, Daniel Perez of Ft. Bragg, NC. And even his precious cat, Gunnar “Gungun” Hansford.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Janyuary 13, 2021 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at East Lawn Funeral Home. Jonathan will be laid to rest in a private family service at Mt. Home National Cemetery at a later date.
