Went home to be with Jesus, her Lord and Saviour, on Thursday, April 5, 2012, at Sunnyside Home, at the age of 93.
Loving mother of Juanita (Len) Cowell, Don (Lena) Thorogood, and Fay (Robin) Hacon and proud grandmother (Gran) of 8 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
Predeceased by her beloved husband William (Bill) Thorogood, her six brothers, and her two sisters.
Hazel was born in 1918 in Murphy’s Cove, Nova Scotia, later moving to Woodstock having married the love of her life. She spent her recent years in Kitchener-Waterloo.
Family and friends are invited to visit at the Westmount Funeral Chapel, 1001 Ottawa Street South (at Westmount Rd.), Kitchener, on Tuesday, April 10th, 2012 from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of the funeral home at 11:30 a.m. Hazel will be laid to rest beside her husband Bill in Oxford Memorial Park Cemetery, Woodstock.
