Juanita Pauline “Pollye” Bradsby, age 93, passed away on Friday, June 11, 2021. Pollye started her career at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company in Morristown, TN. She also worked in the Chattanooga, Knoxville and Beaumont, TX offices before retiring in 1983. Pollye went on to work at Baptist Hospital until 1987. She was a member of TX Federation of Woman’s Club in Beaumont.
She was a church worker at several churches leading WMU and young ladies in YWA group. She also served as a minister’s wife for many years.
Pollye is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Bradsby PhD; parents, Leon Miller and Hazel Havley; son, Stephen Fairchild.
She is survived by, Daughter, Debbie Thornton of Dandridge, TN; sons, Richard Fairchild (Wendy) of Temple, TX, Jon Fairchild (Lori) of Pinckney, Michigan and daughter-n-law Karen Fairchild of Elk City, OK and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Family and friends will meet Monday, June 14, 2021 at Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Highway, Knoxville, TN for a visitation from 5:00pm until 7:00pm. The family will also have a visitation on Saturday, June, 19, 2021 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 4955 Pine Street, Beaumont, TX from 12:00pm until 2:00pm with a 2:00pm graveside service.
