Rodney was born in Canby, Minnesota. His family moved to Tonopah, Nevada during his younger school years. He was involved with the Cub Scouts, Boy Scout and The Wolf Pack in Las Vegas, Nevada. He later graduated from Chaparral High School in Las Vegas, Nevada. He also enjoyed outdoor recreational activities. Rodney was a dedicated employee and retired as a Public Information Officer in Guam. He had an incredible sense of humor and a positive attitude.
Survivors include his loving wife, Phyllis Arndt; two sons, Riley and Wyatt; one daughter, Tayla (Josh); two grandchildren, Simon and Sydney.
A celebration of life gathering for Rodney will be held Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at 1:00 PM, followed by a celebration of life memorial service at 2:00 PM at the Hixson Funeral Home located at 3001 Ryan Street,
Lake Charles, Louisiana. Led by Celebrant Jody Barrilleaux
