Michael Chillemi Sr

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Viola (Stirp) Chillemi, son Philip Chillemi, Sr. and brothers Joe, Pat and Frank Chillemi.

Mike is survived by sons; Michael (Elaine Meeks) Chillemi Jr., Christopher (Constance Traver) Chillemi and Nicholas (Lori Rinehart) Chillemi. He is further survived by grandchildren Gina Shepherd, Michael Chillemi III, Natale' Chillemi, Michele Chillemi, Andrew Chillemi , Mathew Chillemi, Angela Harper, Christina Pyatt, Philip Chillemi Jr., Christopher Chillemi Jr., Curtis Chillemi, Carisa Chillemi, Constance Chillemi, Nicole Karuzas, Nicholas Chillemi Jr., Anthony Chillemi, Vincent Chillemi and 29 great-grandchildren.

Michael started working as a young man in the landscape business and then clerked at Gray Drugs. He obtained full time employment at Mansfield Tire and Rubber as a tire builder for over 20 years. Eventually, Michael owned and operated Pure Oil in Butler, Ohio and later opened Atlantic Gas Station in Mansfield.

Farm life agreed with Mike, as he and Viola owned a farm in Mansfield where they raised their four boys until his semi-retirement to Florida. Once in Florida, Mike bought rental apartments

which kept the family busy.

Michael leaves a large, extended family that is left with many memories and stories to share.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at St. Luke's Catholic Church, 2892 S Congress Ave, Palm Springs, FL 33461with Funeral Mass following at 11:00 am. Interment will be in Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Cemetery, Royal Palm Beach, FL.
