Age 88, our loving mother, grandmother, and sister was called home to her Lord on March 22, 2017. Born October 20, 1928 in Cullman, AL. and was baptized in the Mississippi River in Hayti, MO. Marie retired in 1991 as Custodial Supervisor after 20 years of service at Michigan State University.

Surviving are her 6 children, Patricia Patino (Mark Tschirhart), Rita Craven, Karen (Dan) Gavagan, Shirley DeClercq (Wayne Gleaton), Glen Dean II, and Donald Dean; many grandchildren and great and great-great grandchildren; sister, Betty (Arnold) Rodriguez; brothers, Herman (Janis) Gay, Billy Gay, and Larry (Carol) Gay; sister-in-Law, Joyce DeClercq; special friend, Mary Catherine (Harry) Gallick, and many other family members and friends. Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Dean; 4 children, Richard Dean DeClercq, Stephen Lynn DeClercq, Debra Bell, and Laraine LaTour; 2 brothers, Samuel and Aubrey Gay.

Visitation is from 4-6, 7-9 P.M. Sunday, March 26 in the Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing. Services will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, March 27, 2017 at North-Westminster Presbyterian Church, 743 N. Martin Luther King BLVD., Lansing with Pastor Timothy Chon officiating. Interment Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Red Cross or Restless Legs Syndrome Foundation with envelopes at the funeral home.
