Mrs. Franklin was a faithful member of the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. She was still working as a care giver and was a very active person to the end. She was the best mother a son could have.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Duffy Scott Hayes & Jessie Pearl Thomas; her brothers: Allen Hayes & Bud Hayes; and her daughter, Starr Tallie.
She is survived by her sons: James Don Tallie and Jeff L. Franklin; a sister, Martha Allen; a brother, Frankie Hayes; and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Friday, June 10, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Mt. Olive Freewill Baptist Church with burial to follow in Dunnavant Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 9, 2011, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
