

Lewiston- Jean-Claude Chamaillard, born September 21, 1938 in Chatillion sur Loire, France, passed away on May 5, 2011 from a long courageous fight with cancer. Son of the late Emile and Eugenie (Murgault) Chamaillard. He served in the French Army in North Africa from 1959-1961. He then went to Canada where he cooked in diverse restaurants from Montreal and Toronto and throughout New England. He spent a season in Bermuda where he met his future wife, Therese Godin in 1962, they were married the same year. They had three children.
Jean-Claude is survived by his Therese (Godin) Chamaillard of Lewiston; his daughters: Suzanne Chamaillard of Lewiston and Monique Dyke and her husband Warren of Turner, grandson Benjamin Dyke of Turner; his sister Anne-Marie Chamaillard of Nice, France; brother in law Richard Godin and his wife Constance of Lewiston; sister in law Emily Blanchette of Auburn; sister in law Mary Godin of Auburn, and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his son Jean-Paul Chamaillard in 1998.

Chamaillard, Jean-Claude, 72, of Lewiston passed away May 5, 2011. Visitation will be held Monday May 9, from 5-7 at The Fortin Group/Lewiston. A Committal Service will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday May 10 at St. Peter's Cemetery Mausoleum Switzerland Rd., Lewiston.
