Dorothy Givan

Seabrook Island, SC – A memorial service for Dorothy Ross Givan, 81, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 7, 2013 at the First Scots Presbyterian Church, 53 Meeting Street., Charleston, SC 29401

Born July 7, 1932, in Charlotte, NC, Mrs. Givan passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2013. She was the daughter of the late George Ross and Ophie Gibbs Ross. Mrs. Givan was a longtime employee of Eastern Airlines, member of the choir at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Charlotte and First Scots Presbyterian Church in Charleston where she was a faithful steward of the church. She volunteered with the Sea Turtle Rescue Program.

Surviving are son, Michael Givan of Charleston; daughters, Tara Givan Davis (Thomas) of Schaumburg, IL; Kitt Givan Wise (Perry) of Lexington; son, Alexander “Xan” Givan (Sherrill) of Cramerton, NC; brother, Melvin Ross (Ann) of Indian Trail, NC; 8 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
