Keith was born May 9, 1940 in Kansas City, Missouri to Hubert Melvin and Virginia Lou (Porter) Dixon. He graduated from North Kansas City High School I n1959. Keith earned his Bachelor’s from William Jewell College, his masters from University of Chicago in Physics and his PhD at California Coast University.
Keith worked for the federal government in the Department of Defense as a lead engineer for nuclear programs. He was a lifetime member of the Lepidopterist Society, as well as a member of the Clan Donnachaidh and Clan Keith of Scotland. Keith was a published fiction author of the novel, “Sir Walter Wolfie.”
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Dr. Marvin Dixon, Professor Emeritus of William Jewell College, and his daughter, Andrea Soucy.
Keith is survived by his wife, Carol Dixon; his son, Dale Dixon; his daughters, Suzanne Soucy, and Yvonne Landry; his sister, Nancy Jenkins; as well as six grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
