Juanita McDaniel, 75, born in Hensley, Arkansas passed away on April 1, 2020 in Bellevue, Nebraska surrounded by loved ones. She loved God more than anything and had a passion for spreading the Lord’s word with friends, family and strangers. She was charismatic, funny and a spiritual mother to many. Her legacy will continue through her family and those she touched on this Earth.
Survived by four children, Dr. Sonza Curtis-Furniss (Ted), of Roswell, Georgia, Troy McDaniel (Nancy) of Omaha, Nebraska, Alondra McDaniel, of Omaha, Nebraska, Andrae McDaniel (Brandy) of Omaha, Nebraska; five grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three brothers, Alvin Hammock, Jr. (Ora), Gerald Hammock (Clara), and Glen Hammock (Ruby); three sisters, Beverly Jordan (Barnett, Sr.), Jacqueline Collins (John), and Evelyn Gail Hammock; and sister-in-law, Sheila Hammock; Nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Juanita was preceded in death by her husband, Troy McDaniel, Sr.; her parents, Alvin and Sadie Hammock; and two brothers, Charles Ray Hammock (Gussie), and Lee Artis Hammock.
Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth Funeral Home, 5800 W. 12th Street, Little Rock (501) 661-9111. Burial will be private at Little Rock National Cemetery next to her husband. A memorial service date and time will be announced in the summer of 2020.
