Betty E. Hanson

Betty passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 15, 2010. She was born in Missouri, and came to California with her parents, Gladys and Earl Morris, and her siblings, Rosalie, Laverne, Ray, and Kathleen eventually residing in Long Beach and graduating from Jordan High School. She was married to Eugene Hanson for nearly 30 years, and became the loving mother of four children: Deborah, Rodney, Karen, Christine. Family was her priority, and gatherings were always the joy of her life. Betty worked as a secretary for 40+ years where she enjoyed meeting and conversing with people. She prided herself on her independence. After retirement, she spent her time visiting her 4 children, 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed her hobbies of reading, golfing, and bowling. Viewing will be held on Thursday, August 19 from 4pm-7pm. Service will be held on Friday, August 20 at 10am at Luyben Family Dilday-Mottell Mortuary in Long Beach.
