

Beverly Ann Risley, age 86, passed away on August 12th, 2025. She was born November 28, 1938 to Raleigh Matthews and Mildred Boling Matthews in Falls of the Rough, Kentucky. Beverly was a devoted and active member of Parkland Baptist Church, where she also taught Sunday School for a number of years. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, and cooking in her spare time. Her greatest joy in life was being “Granny” to her 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Along with her parents, Beverly is preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, James Risley; her sisters, Sue Hedden and Gerry Schneider; and her brothers, Norman Matthews and Ed Matthews.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Jammie Risley Hahn and Jill Lake (Cliff); her sisters, Martha Huff, Diane Wilson, Sandra Johnson, and Priscilla Fouts; her grandchildren, Patrick Hahn (Faustina), Grayson Hahn, Karlie McIntyre (Ben), Parker Richey, and Jordan Lake (Isabel); and great-grandchildren, Jackson McIntyre, Brooke McIntyre, Oliver Lake, and Madeline Lake.
The family would like to extend a warm thank you to Hosparus for all the care that they provided Beverly at the end of her life.
A visitation for Beverly will be held at Evergreen Funeral Home in Louisville, Kentucky on Saturday August 16th, 2025 from 11:00am to 2:00pm with a funeral service to follow beginning at 2:00pm.
Beverly Risley will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery.
