Bill was born September 24, 1928 in Spur, Texas. He was raised in Spur where he attended Spur High School and then attended Hardin Simmons University. Bill was a retired Baptist Minister, pastoring churches in Girard, Clairemont, Stamford, Corpus Christi, Austin and Rosamond California. Everywhere his journey through life took him, he touched the hearts of many in meeting life's challenges.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Willie Crafton and brother, Marvin Crafton. He is survived by sons, Kerry and wife Audrey of Irving, Texas, and Clay and wife Susanna of Houston, Texas; daughters, Christi Jones of Ft. Worth, Texas and Cara Crafton of Houston Texas; brother, Dale Crafton of Lubbock; sisters, Effie Allison, and Vera Newton of Lubbock, Betty Kilpatrick of Midland, and Pat Young of Nashville, Ark.; and five grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Friday, December 14, at 9:30 a.m. at Resthaven Memorial Park in Lubbock.
