Denzil W. Bailey, Sr., 93, of Lubbock, Texas, on September 25, 2018 upgraded his residence to Heaven. Visitation will be Friday, September 28th, 6-8 pm at Resthaven Funeral Home. Services will be Saturday, September 29th at 10 am, First Church of the Nazarene.
He was born June of 1925 at Tuttle, Oklahoma to Willie & Onie Bailey. He married Marjorie Melot following WWII army service. He founded Bailey Boiler Works, Inc., served in the Gideons Bible ministry and prison ministries, and pastored the House of Israel.
He is survived by 5 children and their spouses: Louise & Bruce Carper, Theresa Bailey, Barbara & David Montgomery, D.W. & Nancy Bailey, and Luther & Janie Bailey; 14 grandchildren; sister, Wilma McCorkle; brother, Carroll Bailey and countless family and loved ones.
He was preceded in death by this wife, parents, 2 brothers and sisters.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Gideons, Hospices or your church of choice.
