Myra Wynona Stephenson of Lubbock, Texas passed away on Friday, June 8, 2018. She is the daughter of the late Ernest W. Myers and the late Jewel Higgs. Born July 28, 1932 in County Line Oklahoma. She is predeceased by her husband Harold Wayne Stephenson.
She is a longtime resident of Lubbock after moving with her family from Oklahoma as a child. She enjoyed being a home maker raising her children and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She especially enjoyed fishing and spending time with her family. She was exceptionally fond and good at playing shuffle board. She was also a long time member of New Deal First Baptist Church and enjoyed reading from her bible.
She is survived by her children; Karen (Larry) Pray and Wayne Stephenson, grandchildren; Wytosha Matthews, Landon Stephenson, Levi Stephenson, Whitnie Randolph, and Kelly Pray, Great grandchildren; Addison, Elijah, Zyon, Norah, Spencer, Lincoln, Ashlyn, and Braiden. She is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends.
Friends may visit at the Resthaven Funeral Home, 19th Street, Lubbock, TX on Tuesday, June 12th from 6 to 8pm. Services will be in the Abbey Chapel at Resthaven Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 13th, followed by burial in Resthaven Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Jason Matthews, Landon Stephenson, Clayton Randolph, Kyle Dunlap, Michael Stephenson and Levi Stephenson.
