Mr. Tullos was a WWII veteran who served in the United States Navy. He spent 20 months in active duty in the Soloman Islands. He worked at Norris Fence Company for 20 years and later retired from the City of Lufkin Water Department.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Doris Tullos; daughter, Patricia Edwards and Dwight Becker; son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Sylvia Tullos; grandchildren, Roger and Shane Edwards and Kevin and Joy Tullos; brother, Troy Tullos; and sisters, Dorothy Jones and Fannie Mae Garner.
Mr. Tullos was preceded in death by his brother, Howard Tullos; and sisters, Oline Strahan, Geneva Burkhalter and Earnestine Heins.
Graveside services for Mr. Tullos will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 1, 2010 in the Walker Cemetery, with Reverend Horace Fletcher officiating.
