Marie Courville Dean

Marie Courville Dean was born in Louisiana on October 11, 1924. She died June 18, 2016 in Lufkin, TX. She was one of 7 children, all of whom predeceased her.

In January, 1949, Marie married the love of her life, Norman Dean. They lived in Houston, where they had two daughters, Pamela and Susan. Norman worked for Sunkist, and was later transferred to new Orleans. They retired to Lufkin in 1979. Marie was the ultimate dedicated and loving wife till his death in 1996.

Marie is survived by daughter, Pamela Dean Singletary and her husband, Bob; grandchildren, Michael Mayell, Christy McCabe, Virginia (Ginger) Taylor; great-grandchildren, Oliver Mayell; Megan and Kailey McCabe; Seth, Marley, and Lily Dorantes; son-in-law, Paul Taylor; many nieces and nephews. The family thanks the incredibly caring angels at Pinecrest MRC and Hospice in the Pines.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Norman Dean; and daughter, Susan Taylor.
