

MACON, GA - Mrs. Agnes Wolff Jones, 92, died Saturday afternoon. The Funeral Mass will be held Thursday at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, concelebrated by Father Allan McDonald and Father Thomas Healy. Interment will be private for the family. The Rosary will be held Wednesday at 6:00 PM at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street, with visitation following the Rosary. The family suggests that donations be made to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 830 Poplar Street, Macon, GA 31201 or to Hospice Care Options, 1125 Walnut Street, Macon, GA 31201.
Mrs. Jones was born in Washington, DC, the daughter of the late Herman Wolff, Sr. and the late Anna Keyes Wolff. She was a graduate of Cathedral Latin High School in Raleigh, NC and a graduate of Peace College, also in Raleigh. Mrs. Jones had lived in Macon since 1961 and was the wife of the late Francis D. Jones, Jr. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and the Democratic Women’s Club. Mrs. Jones was an Administrative Assistant retired from Mercer University after twenty-seven years.
Mrs. Jones is survived by her son, Frank D. Jones, III and his wife, Carolyn, of Pittsboro, NC; four daughters, Paula Hughes of Virginia Beach, VA, Peg Jones of Macon, Betsy Gandy and her husband, Bruce, of Miami, FL, and Rita Bikus of Thomson, seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren; a sister; Rita Nelli of Gastonia, NC; two brothers, Herman Wolff, Jr. of Raleigh, NC and Thomas P. Wolff of Johnstown, PA.
