Macon – Marion Houser Vance, 86, passed away August 12, 2012. A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Thursday August 16, 2012 in the chapel of Pinegate Retirement Community. The family will receive friends following the funeral service at the social hall at Pinegate. Rev. Paul Dziadul will be officiating.
Mrs. Vance was born in Illinois to the late Melvin and Florence Cox Houser. She was retired from Ft. McPherson and was a member of The Church of the Wildwoods.
Mrs. Vance is survived by her husband of 67 years John Wilbur Vance, Jr.; two daughters, Diane Garofalo (Frank)of Naples, FL and Donna Morgan (Russ) of Atlanta; son, Douglas Vance (Robin) of Cleveland, GA ; brother, Charles Houser of Chicago IL; grandchildren, Vance Morgan, Rachel Morgan, Charlene Vance, and Shawn Vance.
