Bonnie Elliott

Bonnie L. Elliott, 72, of Rittman, died Monday, November 5, 2007 at her home. She was born June 30, 1935 in Mansfield. Bonnie retired in 1985 from Union Carbide in Cleveland. She attended Christian Harbor Church in Orrville and was a member of Rittman Church of God for 18 years. She crocheted afghans for Akron Children's Hospital. A Cleveland Indians fan, Bonnie also loved cooking, fishing, camping, and singing.

She is survived by three children, Jeanette and Jim Rokovitz of Rowsburg, Dale Lee Elliott of South Carolina, and Christina Marie Elliott of New York; grandchildren, Sandra and Jeremy Detwiler, Dale and Stacey Rokovitz, Eric and Patricia Elliott, Krista Elliott, and Daniel and Laura Elliott; great-grandchildren, Jordan, Allison, Michael, Nicole, Cheyanne, Emmah, and Haley; nephew, Curt and Jenn Bush; niece, Sherry Mosier; and many other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Wareham; mother and stepfather, Christina 'Teenie' and George Strang; husband, Dale Elliott; daughter, Christa Elliott; and sister, Ruth Simmons.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, November 8, 2007 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home conducted by Pastor John Boggs and Pastor Mike Cornelius. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio.
