Victoria May Laux

Victoria “May” Laux, age 81, entered eternal peace on May 11th, 2021. She was born January 24th, 1940 in New Orleans, the daughter of the late Armand & Olenda Laiche. Preceded in death by her husband, Normand H. Laux Sr., her sons, Normand Jr., Michael and Daniel Laux, and granddaughter Nicole Cousins. Also preceded in death by her half-brother James Sonnier, her sister Eva Castine and brother-n-law Lorenza Knight.

Survived by her daughters, Diane Bailey (Wendel) and Constance Laux, her grandsons Jessie and Ross Mudge, and great-grandsons Henry, Nathan and Paul Cousins, Tanner Mudge and Cameron Mudge. Also survived by her siblings Raymond Laiche (Pat), Joan Knight & Dennis Laiche (Wanda), and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was a resident of Terrytown, La for over 50 years where she was an active member of Christ the King Church. After she retired from Sears, she continued to work in retail sales. She had a passion for reading and was an avid Saints fan. She loved her family and was extremely proud of her grandchildren. She will always be remembered for her kindness.

Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services on May 22nd 2021 at 10:30am in the chapel of Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway., Marrero, LA. Visitation for family begins at 8:30am and to the public at 9:00am. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery, 5200 Canal Blvd. New Orleans, LA.
