Ora Turner Adams

Mrs. Ora Turner Adams, age 91, of McDonough, Georgia passed away on May 6, 2016. Mrs. Adams was born in Greenwood, SC the daughter of the late Ora Smith Turner and Albert Turner. She was also preceded in death by five brothers and four sisters. Mrs. Adams was a devoted member of McDonough First Baptist Church. During her career, she enjoyed being a high school teacher and her last job before her retirement in 1986 was with Lake Shore High School. Survivors are her husband, James E. Adams Sr. of McDonough; son and daughter-in-law, James E. Adams Jr. and Janet of McDonough; granddaughter, Tracy Thomas and her husband, Eston of Centreville, VA; great-grandchildren, Bennett and Cora Thomas of Centreville, VA; numerous nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service for Mrs. Adams will be on Monday, May 9, 2016 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Greenwood Memorial Gardens in Hodges, SC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Harley Funeral Home of Greenwood, SC will be handling the arrangements.
