Bettye Lackey, 83, was called home on Sunday, May 14, 2017. She was an avid reader, great cook and a member of Providence Reformed Presbyterian Church. Her passion was being a devoted and loving wife and mother. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra Rossell, parents, and sister, Becky Diffee. Her survivors include her loving husband of 60 years, Robert Lackey; one daughter, Becky Gatlin (Dan); two sons, Robert Jackson, Daniel Lackey (Donna); and one grandchild, David Gatlin. The family will receive guests on Thursday at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave. from 9 am till service starts at 10 am. Burial will follow in Memphis Memory Gardens.
