Thomas Earl Green

Thomas Earl Green, 83, of Memphis, TN, peacefully passed away August 1, 2014, surrounded by his family. He was the son of Robert and Ora Green, deceased, of Somerville, TN. He is survived by his wife of sixty-one years, Doris; three daughters, Cindy Kelly (Michael) of Palm Desert, CA, Susan Green of Memphis, and Teresa Haralson (Tom) of Baton Rouge, LA; and three grandchildren, James, Marie, and Thomas (Tabitha) Haralson, of Baton Rouge, LA. He also had many family and friends, including his church family at Orchi Baptist, which he attended for over forty years. As a young man, he was an accomplished athlete scouted by the St. Louis Cardinals Baseball organization. He served with honor in the US Army during the Korean Conflict, and retired from Memphis Ice Cream Company after forty four years. He loved his family, animals, and gospel music. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 5th from 11 am till the service begins at 1 pm, all at Family Funeral Care on Summer Ave. Burial will follow in Memphis Memory Gardens on Raleigh LaGrange Rd. All donations can be sent to one's charity of choice.
