Marcella Jeanette Mounce

Mrs. Marcella J. Mounce was born on March 2, 1932 and passed away on January 21, 2016. She was involved in the Calvary Temple Church, House of Payer, Christian Life Center. She was an army wife for 20 years. She traveled the United States and to Germany two times. Mom was married to the Love of her life for 60 years and served him well. Mom’s happiest place to be was in God’s House. She enjoyed her retirement years by helping care for all of her grandbabies, and many of her children’s friend’s babies while they all earned a living.

She is preceded in death by her son Mike; Parents, Emmett and Roxie Lee; 11 siblings and 2 great grandchildren. She is survived by her Husband, Ed Mounce Jr. of Merced, California; Children, Terry (Abigail) Mounce, Jeanie Mounce-Bugher, Eddie (Kathy) Mounce, all of Merced, California; Grandchildren Tammy, Rebecca (Joml), Michael, David, Larry, Samantha, Randy, Tony, Chris; 18 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home, 1490 B Street Merced, CA 95341. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Christian Life Center, 650 E. Olive Ave, Merced, California, 95340. A private burial will be held at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery.
