Wanda was the second of two daughters born to Gertie (Langston) & Ernest Wilkie.
The young family moved to Phoenix, Arizona shortly thereafter.
Wanda excelled in her school studies and was a talented young athlete. Attending Wilson
Elementary School and Phoenix Union High School, she competed in both Track & Field
and softball.
In 1947 she married Robert Anderson and moved to his hometown of Havre, Montana where their
first son, Lloyd Anderson, was born. Shortly thereafter, she moved with her son, back to Phoenix,
Arizona. In 1952, Wanda and her second husband welcomed their first child, Mitchel Knisley.
Wanda worked at various small jobs until securing a position with Allied Signal/Garrett
Aerospace, now known as Honeywell, where she moved up the ranks to become a successful
Secretary for company management. During her years with the company, Wanda thrived in the
challenging environment. She enjoyed many years of bowling with the company team and the many
friendships with fellow employees. Wanda would remain employed by the company for 33 years,
retiring in 1992. In her private life her work friendships remained strong and she continued to
enjoy professional sport teams such as Roadrunner Hockey, Phoenix Suns and Arizona Diamondbacks.
Wanda is survived by son’s: Lloyd Wayne Anderson, wife Lea and Mitchel Eugene Knisley.
Grandchildren: Gary Anderson, wife Karen, Vicki (Anderson) Weis, husband Rich, Ginnifer
(Anderson) Hakin, husband Thomas.

Great Grandchildren: Spencer Anderson, wife McKenna, Avree Daren Anderson, Kohl Wayne
Anderson, Jenna Rachel Weis, James Randall Weis, Whitney Lea Hakin, Westin Thomas Hakin and
Kaitlea May Hakin.
Great Great Granddaughter: Emery Angel Kay Anderson
Nephew: Jerry Wade Shandley and Niece: Nancy Kordylas
Wanda was preceded in death by her Father: Ernest Wilkie, Mother & Step-Father, Gertie & Lloyd Burris;
Sister Mary Magdaline Shandley; Daughter-in-Law Joyce Lynn Knisley; Niece Janis (Shandley) Coleman.
