Shirley Stone Marks, 97, passed away Sunday evening, November 10, 2013. A longtime resident of Miami, Shirley was active in Girl Scouts, United Order of True Sisters, and MetroZoo volunteers. For many years she attended classes at the University of Miami Institute for Retired Persons.
She was predeceased by her husband, Milton Stone and later by her 2nd husband, Seymour Marks. She is survived by her daughters, Caryl (Andrew) Grof, Betty (Fred) Karp and Sheila (Joe) Boehm, her grandchildren, Susan, Arthur, Gary, Brian, and Dana, and eight great grandchildren. She will be missed dearly by her family who loved her very much.
A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM, Wednesday, November 13, at Mt. Nebo Cemetery, 5505 NW 3rd Street, Miami. Family and friends are welcome at Caryl and Andy's from 5:00 - 8:00.
