SMS Francisco Renan "Frank" Rey, USAF, Ret.- 61, born in Baracoa, Cuba, raised in Philadelphia, PA, and a longtime resident of Ocean Springs, MS passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2015. Frank retired from the United States Air Force as a Senior Master Sergeant after nearly 28 years of service. He enjoyed working in his shop with his tools, yardwork, sports, motorcycles and classic cars, his dogs, but his greatest love was his family. He will always be remembered by his family and all who knew him for his generosity and his wonderful, never ending sense of humor. Frank is survived by his wife, Leslie Hayes Rey; children, Frank Rey, Courtney Rey Convertino (Matt), and Taylor Rey, and step-children, Katrina and Amy Westerberg; parents, Renan and Norma Rey; grandchildren, Frank Rey, James Rey, and Reyleigh Convertino; brother, Armando Rey (Alyce); sister, Gloria Rey Foreman (John); other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held at Providence Presbyterian Church, 2320 Schillinger Rd. S., Mobile, AL, on Tuesday, May 19, 2015, from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service. Interment with full military honors will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
