daughter of the late William
and Martha Byer, was born on the 28th of September 1916, in
Barbados and made Canada her home in 1948.
Upon her retirement in 1981, she enjoyed a life of travel in her
camper van, driving as far as California. She also took several
cruises around the Carribean.
Pauline's longevity can be attributed to her incredible strength,
tenacity and adventurous spirit . On February 21st 2021, at the
age of 104, she passed away peacefully at home knowing that
she had done all she had set out to do.
She is predeceased by her siblings Wendell, Madeline,
Augustine, Julian, Ignatius, Gracilla, Eyare, Eileen and
Wilhelmina.
She will be greatly missed by her daughter Anne Claxton, her
nieces Helena Thorne, Hazel St. Clair and Sharon Harvey, great
nieces Michelle St. Clair and Lisa King, and great nephew Martin
St. Clair.
