Ruth Elaine Vinson Bastin Jarrett, daughter of J.C. and Gladys (Sipple) Vinson of Stanford, KY went happily to meet Jesus, in the wee hours of Tues, February 7, 2023. She was 87 years old, born April 1, 1935. Sisters she’ll meet in Heaven Alice Cuemile Dunn (Temple), Vera Alise Duvall (Joe) and Marilyn Joan Johnson (Rick) and brother Clyde Vinson (Dorothy). Sisters still here Elnora Mae Hogue (Paul), Ramona Sue Hiatt (Jones C.) And C. Ann Rados Smith (J.T.). She leaves sons Bryan K (Andrea) and Brent W (Judith), many nieces and nephews and a special niece Laura Duvall. Ruth’s busy life included work at the V.A. in Louisville, KY, several secretarial jobs in Indianapolis. After her marriage to John Jarrett, moved to Brown County establishing a real estate business. Both she and John found their place. John passed in ’99 and Ruth continued in real estate, working at Hills O’Brown in Nashville, IN. An active member of Nashville Christian Church, she also did volunteer with Clarity and Habitat for Humanity. Ruth and Romilda Hamontree lived near each other and became sister-friends. This bond was fun and mutually beneficial. Too many beloved friends to mention here. Special thank you to Marci, Carlos, Rhonda, those loyal and knowledgeable friends who stood by were her comfort. And to the many people here who supported me with your prayers and good wishes. Thank you. A very short music service will be held at Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home; 1682 St. Rd. 135 North, Nashville, on Saturday, May 13th at 1;00 pm w/interment of cremains immediately following.
