Geneva Gohmann, 93, died Saturday, July 13, 2013. She was born January 17, 1920 in Tell City, IN to the late Leo and Frances Ray Lutgring. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Gohmann; brothers, Gilbert, Ray and Sydney Lutgring; sisters, Margaret Frazier, Bette Lutgring and Dorothye LaGrange.
She grew up in Perry County, IN, graduated from Tell City High School in 1937, and attended St. Mary and Elizabeth School of Nursing in Louisville becoming a registered nurse in 1941. She married Bernard Gohmann in 1951 and lived in Floyd County, IN for the next 50 years where she was a member of St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church and retired from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kentucky.

Daughter: Mary Frances “Francie” Sheridan Greenwood, IN
Sons: Ray Gohmann (Louise) Atlantic Beach, FL
Bill Gohmann (Cathy) Wabash, IN
Sister: Irene Bork
Brothers: Alfred Lutgring (Jean)
Donald Lutgring (Alma)
8 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren
Visitation will be from 2:00pm to 8:00pm Friday and after 9:00am Saturday at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring St., New Albany, IN. A Rosary Service will be held at 4:00pm Friday at the funeral home. Her Rite of Christian Burial will be 11:00am Saturday at St. Mary of The Knobs Catholic Church, 3033 Martin Rd., Floyds Knobs, IN with burial to follow in the church cemetery. A Memorial Mass will be held 7:30pm Friday, July 26 at St. Ann Catholic Church in Indianapolis.
Memorial donations in her memory may be made to St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church.
