Uncle Ed, Heather and Brandon,

Aunt Sandi was such a wonderful, caring, free-spirited human being! It was always a pleasure to swing by and have her cut our hair in the salon. She always made me laugh. I remember the great times at all the Halloween parties, trick-or-treating, and spending time up at the cabin when we were kids. 

Aunt Sandi has always been an inspiration with her carefree approach to life! She will be missed dearly.

Sandi, my beloved sister, Where do I start?  sharing baths each week?  Me being the 'tag along' sister? How I admired your chutzpa when you terrorized me with frogs, snakes and fish guts.  you taught me to be fearless, except from you LOL    How we grew up berry picking, swimming, snow sledding and skiing.  How you gave me your id to go to a night club to dance when I was under age.  Oh Sandi, you were so special.   You are so special,   I will miss you so,  You have been a gift to us and your memory will go on with smiles in our hearts

  We are so sad about Sandi’s passing.  Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers go out to all of you during this time of deep sadness.  Sandi was such a warm and friendly person.  She accepted everyone without judgement and loved unconditionally. 

  We will remember Sandi with love and many fond memories of holiday meals shared ( including those fantastic Christmas wreath cookies! ), the extremely competitive white elephant games, pontoon rides and campfires at the lake, and many family celebrations and parties throughout the years.

  Sandi’s smile and laugh were infectious.  She was such a kind, sweet soul that will be dearly missed but will live on in our hearts and memories forever.

Sandi was my first daughter of three girls. After having three boys in a row, it was so fun to dress a girl in cute dresses for a change. She had many pretty dresses.

We had so many good times together during her life. Many trips, such as Las Vegas, Branson, Hawaii, and Jamaica with Joy and Bonnie.

Sandi was a skilled beautician, and I was fortunate to be her model and had my own private hair stylist from the time she graduated from beauty school until she retired. I always felt much better after she fixed my hair, and she made everyone s hair look good.

Sandi especially loved her time up north, both at their camper on Prairie  Lake and also at Horseshoe Lake. Everyone was welcome, and there was fun, fun, fun for all of us. When the boys were hunting, the girls had their own girls weekend, and Sandi fixed everyone's hair  before going out for dinner. When we walked into the restaurant, we got lots of stares and comments on how pretty we all looked. She even sang karaoke at the bar in Breezy Point.

Sandi was very talented and made many crafts, which we sold at craft fairs held  at the VFW and in Crosslake. She could crochet and took ceramics classes with me. She painted and did macrame. When she graduated from high school, we gave her the sewing machine she always wanted, and she made good use of it her whole life. She sewed her own wedding gown and all the bridesmaids dresses, many Halloween costumes, and much more. She was good at everything she tried,

She was always so generous and loving to everyone. I loved her so very, very much, and will miss her every day. At least she is no longer in pain, and is now with her dad, Bob, her brothers Wayne and Chuck, and her nieces Jennie and Megan.

Eddie- you were a good husband to my daughter and are in my prayers.

Today we said our final goodbyes to Sandi, my ‘sister’ from another mother! Our hearts are heavy and the tears flow freely but I know deep down that she will always be with us we just have to open our hearts to let her spirit live among us.  We will never forget and we will always love our Sandi and now she can finally rest with no more pain.  Dear Lord, you are getting an angel.

My Aunt Sandi was an incredible woman. She loved so many things and shared her love with all of us. She really loved the water. She was in the lake more than anyone else at the cabin. One of the best parts of the family reunions the last few years was the floatilla!
She did my hair and nails for several dances. She taught me how to crochet. I still make scarves for people and I taught my college roommate how to make them too. It was all thanks to her. 
Celine wrote the song Courage for her late husband, and I really think it fits. 
I loved her more than I can express. She'll forever be with me.

Eddie and Family,

I am so incredibly sorry for the loss of Sandi. She was always so kind and a joy to be around at the lake. She will be forever missed by all who had the privilege to know and love her.

I have many fond memories of my sister Sandi; a few of which I will share.
I actually remember when mom and dad brought her home from the hospital. I was 3-1/2.  Bruce, Wayne and I loved having a new little sister, but it was Wayne who caringly looked after all three girls as they grew up.

We were fortunate to have lots of family weekends at the Horseshoe Lake cabin where everyone was welcome:
-Swimming, waterskiing, fishing.
-Campfires, card games, and quarters,.
-And lots of laughter.

Sandi orchestrated legendary Halloween parties, making the costumes for many, decorating their house and garage, preparing way too much food, and entertaining us with karaoke and turtle races.

She took the lead at organizing my dad's 80th birthday party, and strode confidently into the emcee role as an Elvis impersonator in a fully sequined outfit. 

Sandi was kind, caring, loving, and generous. She was also a strong woman, and quick to laugh and smile.  I miss her deeply.

It's so painful knowing you are gone.  It was a huge shock to us all.  My heart breaks knowing I will not see you anymore in my lifetime.  I am so grateful to have had the time I did have with you in my life.  You were always so non-judgmental, always willing to help anyone at the drop of a hat, so happy, and funny as well.  You loved unconditionally.  I will greatly miss talking and laughing with you.  You were a genuine free spirit and are forever in our hearts.

Sandi welcomed me into the Johnson family with love, hugs and kisses and big smiles.  She had such a big heart and love for her whole family: parents, siblings, nieces and nephews, in-laws and especially her children, grandchildren and husband.  

I loved when we had family gatherings and most of us would bring something, then Sandi would always bring a few more things; she was so very generous.  We had a great time visiting her at the lake in Grand Rapids a few years ago. She loved it there.  

I will miss her and keep her in my heart with love.  Lots of love to all of the Johnson’s and Iskierka’s. 

My memories of my wife were she enjoyed every minute of her life even with the pain she endured for so many years.she not only was my wife she was my best friend , she was my rock she kept me together and always had a positive outlook and made my job that much easier. We were together for 45 years and we tried to be of comfort to each for this journey,we had two kids who were taught life and love through their mother and now we got to see our grandchildren receiving the same love from their parents. Yes my heart is going to miss my best friend but I have I hope have found she is still with me and I shall see her again love you always my love can't wait to find you in eternal life your husband and friend  Eddie

I am so, so sorry. Some of my favorite childhood memories are of spending time at the lake with all of you. Sandi was incredibly kind, and always seemed to bring a smile to everyone. She will be remembered fondly forever. My thoughts are with all of you.

We will miss her at Prairie Lake Campground.  She always had a smile and kind word to share.  We are praying for all of her loved ones.

So sad to learn about Sandi. She had such a gentle way about her. She was kind enough to set aside green tomatoes for me from her garden because she knew they were a special treat. Enjoyed chatting with her when she walked by at the campground.

Take care of yourself Eddie through this time of deep loss.

Eddie and family,  I remember the exact date and time Sandi and I met. There was an instant connection. We became like sisters right from the get go. My heart hurts for you and the kids. I have many memories to cherish. Laugh together, cry together, and find peace in knowing she's at rest in her heaven home.

Dear Eddie,
We were shocked and so sad to hear that Sandi is no longer with us. 
We loved our chats, when stopping by while walking the puppies she so adored. The campground will not be the same without her. We send our deepest sympathies to you and your family,  and our prayers for God's peace , love and understanding.
