

John was born in Murfreesboro, Tennessee on November 20, 1940. He graduated from Central High School and received his Bachelor of Science degree from Middle Tennessee State University.
He was an Agency Director in Frederick, Maryland for State Farm Insurance. He retired in 1994 after 21 years.
John was known as a "Straight Shooter." He enjoyed playing golf, skeet shooting and the outdoors. He loved his family and especially enjoyed the little ones. He is a member of McGregor Baptist Church where he performed the duties of usher every Sunday.
John was preceded in death by his parents, James and Burnadean Stallings, his wife, Kay Stallings, age 53 and daughter, Julie Faust Thomas, age 49.
He is survived by his wife, Jayne Argo Stallings of Fort Myers; his daughters, Shannon (Keith) Canter of Shelbyville, TN, and Teri (Dan)Flynn of Largo, FL.; a son, Sonny(Leslie) Faust of Hamilton, GA.; his grandchildren, Paige (Ryan) Tilghman, Heath(Macy) Phillips, Danielle Flynn, Kennedy Flynn, Abigail Canter, Harrison Canter, Cambell Flynn, Chris Bledsoe, Hannah (Cameron) Hanover, Nancy Thomas and great granddaughter, Eleanor Hanover. He is also survived by two sisters, Deanie (Larry) Parker and Jennie (Kenneth) Miller.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at McGregor Baptist Church, Colonial Blvd, Fort Myers, FL at 2 pm. The service will be followed by a Celebration of Life Reception at McGregor Baptist Church's Fellowship Hall rooms 184 and 185.
