Margaret (Maggie) Elizabeth Warner passed away November 16, 2016 at her home in Ft. Myers, Florida with her daughter Wendy, while under the care of Hope Hospice. She was born January 23, 1923 in Bucks County, Pennsylvania to her beloved parents, John Martin Simonds and Eva Lindner Simonds, who preceded her in death. Maggie was one of eight children and is survived by her younger sister, Anne Connelly. In December 1973, Maggie married Robert S. Warner, M.D. Everyone could tell they had a beautiful marriage for thirty-three years. Robert (Bob) passed away in January 2007. Maggie always said the best legacy he left her was his five children: Barbara Klunk (Kenny), both who preceded Maggie in death, Sherri Hunter (Martin), Robert S. Warner, Jr. (Christine), Wendy Warner, and Michael Warner. These five children had seven “delightful grandchildren,” as well as six “beautiful great-grandchildren”. Maggie also had many wonderful nieces and nephews. Maggie had many successes in her life, but her proudest successes were in the business and financial world. After conquering the business world, she became a Financial Planner with Waddell and Reed and was licensed for 41 years. Maggie helped many people achieve their dreams through smart investing. Through the many years Maggie and Bob came to Sanibel Island to escape the cold of their home in Pennsylvania. When Maggie retired in 2004 from Waddell & Reed, and Bob had retired from Paoli Memorial Hospital, they decided to move to someplace warm. They moved into their Villa at Cypress Cove in Ft. Myers, Florida and, as she often said, “lived happily ever after”. A celebration of Maggie’s life will be held on Friday, December 16th at 11 a.m. at St. Michael & All Angel’s Episcopal Church on 2304 Periwinkle Way, Sanibel, Florida 33957. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Madden Education Fund. Checks can be made to St Michael & All Angels Episcopal Church with “Madden Fund in Honor of Maggie” on the memo line, or the “Alzheimer’s Association FGCC” (Florida Gulf Coast Chapter) at 9230 Bonita Beach Road, Suite 223, Bonita Springs, Fl. 34135. On the memo line write “In Honor of Maggie Warner”. Credit card donations can be made by calling local association chapter directly at 239-405-7008. Arrangements have been entrusted to National Cremation & Burial Society
