Leon Manfredi, a resident of Roslindale, passed away on October 11, 2014 at the age of 92. Born in Boston, he was the son of Biaggio and Maria (DeRose) Manfredi. He was the beloved husband of the late Audrey (MacDuffie) Manfredi of Roslindale and loving father of Deborah Winkler of Plainville, Martha Manfredi of Mendon, and Judith Murphy of Millis. He is also survived by his brother George Manfredi, and grandchildren Michael Winkler, Chris Winkler, Amy Ryder-Emerson, Brian Ryder, Lisa Murphy and Lynne Koenig, and his great grandchildren Owen Winkler, Brooke Winkler, Krista Winkler, Leah Winkler, Sara Emerson and Michael Koenig. Mr. Manfredi worked for 40 years for the City of Boston, Parks and Recreation Department. He was the manager of Community Boating on the Charles River and also managed the Sailing Program on Jamacia Pond before his retirement. Services and interment will be private.
