G. Michael Janes

On October 30, 2019, G. Michael Janes passed away. He was the beloved husband of Linda M. Janes (nee Gebhardt); devoted brother of Richard Janes and his wife Linda, Lynne O’Dea and her husband Mike, Laurie Powers and her late husband Marty, and Lisa Couture and her husband Chuck. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Michael served in the United States Marines where he was a member of the Marine Drum and Bugle Corp. He was also a member of the Masons and the Scottish Rite.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the Schimunek Funeral Home, Inc., 9705 Belair Rd., Nottingham, MD 21236, on Friday, November 8, 2019, from 3-5pm and 7-9pm. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, at 11am, at the funeral home. Interment will be at Bel Air Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Michael’s name to the Marine Corps League Donation Processing Center, P.O. Box 1835, Merrifield, VA 22116-8035.
