

Joan Kathleen (Kay) Oestreich of Palm Harbor, Florida was born on June 25th, 1933 and passed away peacefully surrounded by a lot of love on June 5th, 2020. She was born in Spencerport, New York and raised in Brighton, New York.
Kay is survived by her children Paul David Oestreich, and Susan Elizabeth Silver; Grandchildren Scott Silver, Gregory Silver, and Leah; Great-grandson Mason; Brother Neil (Susan) Smith & many loved nieces, and nephews. Kay is predeceased by her husband Clifford P. Oestreich; Sister Donna Jean; Brother-in-Law Mark Ortelee; and Parents Anne & Bernard (Barney) Smith.
Kay attended Our Lady of Mercy High School graduating in 1951. While working at Eastman Kodak, Kay met the love of her life, Clifford (Cliff) P. Oestreich. They were happily married for 56 years until Cliff passed away in 2012. Kay and Cliff lived on Danforth Crescent and attended Our Lady Queen of Peace Church in Brighton. Kay and Cliff retired in Palm Harbor living in Highland Lakes. There nights were spent photographing nightly sunsets at Crystal Beach, and attending St. Luke the Evangelist Church.
Kay had many talents, she was an amazing cook, mother, wife, artist, and photographer. She never failed to catch that perfect moment when it came to weddings, family, and friend gatherings, and of course her sunsets. She loved painting China tea pots, clocks, plates, and theorem miniatures on velvet.
Kay was mighty, tiny, and always smiling with her twinkling beautiful Irish Blue eyes. No one remained a stranger to Kay, because she was the life of the party. She always had a wonderful time gathering with the ones she loved, and she would make amazing food for all. Kay was also passionate, and caring about animals. She was always offering a home to various pets her entire life.
She looked forward to Eternal Salvation with Jesus Christ, her Lord and Savior.
A celebration of Life will be announced in the near future.
