Mohinder Kaur Parmar passed away peacefully on April 4th, with her daughter by her side at the Nanaimo General Hospital. Mom was 93 years old. Born in Punjab, India, Mom came to Canada in 1961 with her children and joined her husband Baldev (predeceased in 2016) who had come earlier and settled in Barrhead, Alberta.
Mohinder was a very caring, supportive and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She leaves behind son Lakhbir (Rashpal),daughter Jeet (Mohinder), 3 grandchildren (Davinder, Kalbir, and Tasha) and 6 great-grandchildren (Riya, Saiya, Kaeya, Jayen, Ryan and Blair).
Funeral service will be at Yates Memorial Services and Crematorium (1000 Allsbrook Road, Parksville, BC) on April 9th at 11:30am. The service will be followed by prayers and lunch at Nanaimo Sikh Gurudwara (328-3rd Street, Nanaimo, BC)
