Mrs. Johnson was born in Mt. Olive, MS on May 18, 1933. She and her late husband Charles E. Johnson were married 67 years and lived in Pearl MS for the past thirty-two years. Mrs. Johnson retired from Sperry Vickers in 1998. She was a member of Skyway Hills Baptist Church in Pearl who loved her church family. She was a devoted member of the Missionary Baptist Churches in Jackson, MS for over 60 years.
She was a loving sister, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who loved all of her nieces, nephews and extended family. Mrs. Johnson is survived by her son, Charles Wendell Johnson of Mt. Juliet, TN; daughter, Marilyn Johnson (Marc) of Pearl, MS; sister, Billie Lowery of Pearl, MS; grandchildren, Heather Schmitt, Melissa Jayroe (Yancey) and Daniel Johnson (Kayla); and great-grandchildren, Kyle and Loren Schmitt, Shelby and Jordan Jayroe, and Samantha Johnson.
Visitation for Mrs. Johnson will be held Monday October 29, 2018 from 5pm – 7pm at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services will be held at 11am Tuesday, October 30th in the funeral home chapel with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Frances’ name to the Alzheimer’s Association, www.alz.org.
