

Passed away with family by his side on Thursday, June 5, 2014 at the age of 93. Beloved husband of 65 years to Shirley Mortimer. Loving father of Sherry Collins (Michael) and Sue Berkmann (Will Witteveen). Dear grandfather to Rob (Stacey) Collins, Dan Collins (Sarah), Brian (Sara) Collins, Angela Berkmann (Ray), Sarah Wakelin (Brian) and Chantel Berkmann (Blake). Great grandfather to Olivia, Chase, Emma, Brooke, Austin, Avery and Madison. Brother to Shirley Sackville. Predeceased by sisters Dorothy Miller, Mildred White, Gladys Mortimer and brothers Fred Mortimer and Douglas Mortimer. Jack had a 42 year career with the Canadian General Electric and had enjoyed a 33 year retirement. He was very active as a coach with the Peterborough Minor Hockey Association, member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #52, Corinthian Lodge # 101, Corinthian Royal Arch Mason #36, Moore Preceptory #13 and the Kawartha Shrine Club Rameses Temple Toronto. Visitation will be held at the Comstock Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 356 Rubidge Street from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. on Monday June 9, 2014. Service will be held in the chapel at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday June 10, 2014. Interment Little Lake Cemetery. In memory of Jack, donations to the Kawartha Shrine Club in support of Shriners Hospitals for Children, Montreal would be appreciated by the family.
