Victoire Pierre

Growing up in Au trou du Nord, she pursued her education at Lecol'e Baptiste Au trou du Nord, where she graduated with a diploma as a seamstress. Subsequently, she decided to further her studies at Lecol'e Biblique Emaus 4VEH, obtaining certification in Bible Studies, and it was there that she met her future husband, Fleury Pierre, whom she married on July 21, 1972. In 1975, Victoire and Fleury relocated from Voudroy to the capital city of Port-au-Prince seeking better opportunities.

Her husband wanting a better life for his family moved to South Florida in December 1981. Victoire followed him in 1985 after Fleury had settled. Upon settling in South Florida, Victoire pursued further education, obtaining her high school diploma along with additional trade certifications. She

worked at Sunshine Enterprises for several years before transitioning to a career in education, achieving

certification in continuing education. Her teaching career commenced at La’Bergerie Day Care Center as a preschool teacher.

Throughout her time in the United States, she was a dedicated member of First Haitian Baptist Church as a choir member, and Sunday school teacher, and attended many church activities.

On June 24, 2024, Victoire experienced a cardiac arrest, resulting in critical condition. Sadly, she was called home on July 2, 2024, at 2:15 AM.

Victoire is survived by her four children - Fleurette, Florence, and Joseph Fleury Jr. - and her daughters-in-law, Rosemary and Sanel. She is also remembered by her six grandchildren - Christopher, Rebekah, Isabella, and Hazel, - as well as her siblings Cimeon, Abbiude, Christiane, and Eleude, along with their spouses. Victoire's memory lives on in the hearts of numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins who cherished her presence.
