Ann Spinella Marandola

Ann (Spinella) Marandola, 88, passed away March 19, 2016. She was the beloved wife of the late Paul J. Marandola. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Fortunata (Genovese) Spinella.

Ann was the devoted mother of Steven M. Marandola, Cheryl A. Pagliarini, Diane S. Costantino, Janet E. Smith and the late Paul J. Marandola Jr.; cherished grandmother of 17 and great-grandmother of 4. She was the sister of Josephine Carcieri, Elaine Drapeau and the late Samuel and Peter Spinella, Elizabeth Broderick, Sarah Iannarelli and Mary Iannucci. She was also the aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Ann and her husband owned the former Lanthre Beauty Salon at the Biltmore Hotel in Providence. She was also a devout Catholic and a daily communicant.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, 4-7 p.m. with her funeral on Wednesday at 9 a.m. from the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. in the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul, 30 Fenner Street, Providence, followed by burial in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
