He was born in Reading February 28, 1949 a son of the late Howard and Thelma McNeal. John was employed by Dana Corp as a welder and was an Army Veteran serving in the Vietnam War. He enjoyed woodworking, trains, fishing, cooking and baking apple pies.
John is survived by his 3 children; Christine L. Pagan, John L. McNeal, Jr. and Victoria L. Evanoff, sisters; Wendy and Thelma and step sister, Maryann, his ex-wife, Donna McNeal, 9 grandchildren; William Schaeffer, Michael Schaeffer, Nicholas Schaeffer, Amber Schaeffer, Aaron McNeal, Mackenzie McNeal, Brody McNeal, Grayson Evanoff and Isabelle DeBlasi and 5 great grandchildren; Liam, Keegan, Willow, Oakland, Adalynn and one on the way.
John was predeceased by his partner, Debra L. Strausser and his daughter, Debbie Ann McNeal.
